Jon Ah You

Jon Masao Ah You, 54, passed away at home from a cardiac arrest on June 18, 2013. Jon was born on October 27, 1958 in Maui, Hawaii. He received a Masters of Project Management from the University of Alaska. Jon moved to Anchorage in 1966. He worked for the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company.

Jon enjoyed spending time with his two girls, Hana Rose and Tian. Jon also loved Hawaii and Hawaiian music. Jon possessed and infectious enthusiasm for everything in his life: the wife and daughters for whom he lovingly crafted a home; the work that he enjoyed and excelled at; Zumba, biking, fishing and camping. He was loved for his sense of humor, his melodious singing voice and his passion for all things Hawaiian. He was a fine, handsome, responsible man who will be dearly missed by everyone he touched.

Jon is survived by his wife, Judith Mack; daughters, Hana Rose Ah You and Tian Ah You; mother, Kay Ah You; sister, Kay Lenox and his brother Allen Ah You.

A Memorial Service Pot Luck will be held at Hillside Ski Chalet, 7015 Abbott Rd on Monday, June 24th from 6 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to the Food Bank of Alaska, 2121 Spar Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.

Hard to believe its been five years!  I still remember his many words of wisdom and rely on them to get me through tough situations. I miss his friendship and and postive outlook on everything.

Well said Rita, I miss him also.  Jon lived life to its fullest and was a delightful person to know.  Hard to believe he’s been gone 5 years...
