What's happened since?:

Retired from APSC went to work in Metals Recycling industry at Alaska Metal Recycling, part owner of Blues Central Anchorage, started Blues on the Green festival. Retired again and moved to Baton Rouge Louisiana and opened a Cajun food/Blues club "Swamp Mama's Blues Café". Sold Swamp Mama's and went back to work with Schnitzer Steel, Portland OR, then Alter Trading St. Louis Mo. and then Newell Recycling of Atlanta Ga.
I recently retired from industry and am touring with several different blues bands with my wife Christine on drums and percussion. Throughout this time I have played with many blues bands and have recorded and traveled extensively with them. Between gigs we can be found on the beach or with the grandchildren somewhere.

Ok....one last video....Montreal Jazz Festival headlining with Bryan Lee, the "Braille Blues Daddy" with Blues Power......Montreal Canada.......over 100K people in attendance. (Didn't realize the sound quality was so bad, shot on an I-Phone. Next video down the sound is better....

This is us headlining at the Montreal Jazz Festival, largest festival in the world. Bryan Lee "The Braille Blues Daddy".....over 100,000 people in attendance.

The Robbie Laws Band with Mt. St. Helens crater as a back drop......don't know who shot the video...band went to Memphis to compete with over 160 bands from around the world at The International Blues Challenge, IBC. We made it to the final round but did not get the big prize :(

Playing with Jonathan "Boogie" Long in Atlanta at Smith's Olde Bar. Opening for Tab Benoit......If you added the ages of the three "kids" in this band I am older, 18, 19 and 22 years old....Jonathan got his start at the age of 13 at Jam Night at my club in Baton Rouge, "Swamp Mama's Blues Cafe". Four years later he won Guitar Center's "King of the Blues" out of 1,600 other competitors. He starred in an Indie film "We are Kings" where we played the soundtrack and he played one of the lead characters.

This is The Chris LeBlanc "Spanish Town Big Band" out of Baton Rouge. Playing the Baton Rouge Blues festival....30,000 of our close friends....We play only big shows and festivals. In Feb 2017 we will headline Baton Rouge's biggest musical gatherings, "Spanish Town Mardi Gras" ball.

Playing with The Eric Culberson Band out of Savannah Ga. This is at the St Patrick's Day celebration. 20,000 of our closest friends in the audience. Go to about 4:40 in .......This was my first show with them and full of surprises.

Playing with Jonathan "Boogie" Long at a little pub Big Head's Tavern in Baton Rouge (that went underwater in the great flood) Boogie won Guitar Center's "King of the Blues" in 2013.

Playing with the Bridgett Kelly Band out of Gainesville Florida....this is a Beach Bar down the street from us.......come dance in the sand! I just got off tour with this band. We head to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge, IBC, "Women in Blues" series in Feb '17.

Lance, just saw this....wonder why.... In any case, I remember that too. That Mac was from the first shipment that came to Alaska. That was a looooong time ago, my watch has more computing power than that did then.

Hey Alaskan folks.....I will be visiting Alaska first week if September and will be performing the 5th and 6th with The Backstreet Blues Band at the newly remodeled (no smoking) Carousel Club on Spenard Rd. Anchorage. Come on out and swap stories.
