Graveside services for Perry Dixon Parker, 56, of Pollok will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gann Cemetery with Brother Keith Bickley and Brother Patrick Eddings officiating.

Mr. Parker was born November 17, 1960 in Lufkin, Texas to Wanda Joy (Dixon) and Allen Leon “Sonny” Parker, and died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Parker was a lifetime resident of Central and Pollok and was a Heavy Equipment Operator Foreman for Arctic Slope Regional Contractors in Alaska. He loved hunting; it was his passion. Mr. Parker was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Walker of Pollok; mother, Joy Parker of Lufkin; brothers, Clay Parker and Cody Parker and wife Kristy, all of Lufkin; nieces and nephews, Lauren Holcombe, Clancy Parker, Chandler Parker, Caydin Parker, and Kallie Parker; brother-in-law, James Walker of Jacksonville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Bobbie (Allen) and L.T. “Jiggs” Parker and Dora (Nobles) and Jim C. Dixon; and uncle, Carrol Parker.

Pallbearers will be Jake McAllister, Darwin Blake, Daniel Fenley, Malcom Arnold, Dennis Oates, and Randal Craft.

The family extends special thanks to Dr. Matt Parker and Accolade Hospice for their care.

Memorial contributions may be made to Accolade Hospice, 2708 N. University Drive, Suite 100, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.

Perry Parker was the baseline/ oil spill response foreman at my first pipeline assignment at PS4 in 1994.  He was a man of great humor and strong work ethic.
