Patti Altom

Patti Jo Altom
                          - November 23, 2024

We regret to inform you of the passing of former Alyeska employee Patti Jo Altom on Nov. 23, 2024. Patti joined Alyeska on June 17, 1991, bringing her incredible work ethic and infectious laugh to Alyeska’s Corporate Communications Team until her retirement on Dec. 27, 2020.

One of Patti’s many traditions she brought to TAPS was the Russian Jack Elementary School Thanksgiving dinner. We honor her memory as this beautiful tradition continues with meals being served to the children, teachers and staff today.

Patti always kept her focus on giving, caring, and opening her heart to others, especially the kids, and her Alyeska coworkers and retirees.

Alyeska is not aware of an obituary or services at this time. Should this information become available it will be sent out to TAPS.

There's nothing I could add to Cathy Girard's comment that summed it up perfectly. It was an honor to know Patty and I can still hear her laugh.

Wow, that hits hard. Patti was one of my favorite people from TAPS. She was one of the best.

Patti was such an incredible friend and co-worker. She was so dedicated and loyal to Alyeska. Her spirit was always cheerful and positive. She loved the precious gift from Alyeska, her dog AJ so much and constantly commented on how much it meant to her that Alyeska gave her such a treasure. I will miss you tons Patti..... as will all those who knew you.

I am very sorry to hear of Patti's passing, during my time at Alyeska she was one of the most positive in her dealing with those of us who needed the help.  If anyone hears of a celebration or obituary I would appreciate hearing of it.

I once heard someone say, at a retirement party, that you can never really replace someone.  That was certainly true of Patti.  She did many things, mostly small, to help form a positive culture within the company, and to integrate us into the community at large.  I think of not only the Russian Jack Thanksgiving meals but also the monthly food service we did at Brother Francis Shelter where it seemed Patti was often or usually who drove it.  She was a bridge to retirees and so also a friend of this website as well.  Her departure is far too soon; I pray that she rests in peace knowing that she left us better because of who she was and what she did when she was here.

Patti was so wonderfully kind, helpful, and talented.  Always willing to help me with a myriad of requests over the years with a great deal of cheerfulness and optimism.  Such a wonderful and remarkable person.  Our prayers for her family as they grieve Patti -- and as we all salute her many talents and accomplishments.

As others have said, Patti was always willing and able to help in any way.  She helped me out whenI was President of the Pipeline Club back in the 90s.  Patti looked at things from the bright side and was a positive thinker.  She will be remember fondly by so many of her co-wrkers, friends and family.  Keep u the good work in heaven Patti.

What a wonderful colleague she was. She made Alyeska a better place to work. Gone too soon.
