Larry Horace King of Anchorage, Alaska passed away on August 26, 2017 in Athens, Georgia. 

Mr. King, the son of Evora (Morris) and William Horace King, was born on December 14, 1945 in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. King was a Lieutenant with the Athens-Clarke County Police Department from 1974 to 1977. In 1977, Mr. King became an Alaska resident and worked many years as a safety and compliance officer on the Trans Alaska Pipeline. 

Mr. King is survived by his son, Jeffrey (Rachel) King of Anchorage, Alaska; his sister, Marianne K. Burke; his niece, Kelly P. (Nigel) Lewis; and his grandchildren, Mila King and Ayanna King, all of Anchorage, Alaska; the mother of his son, Marjorie Ozment of Anchorage, Alaska; and his special friend, Susan Anglin of Athens, Georgia. 

As he wished, his cremains were scattered in Athens, Georgia. 

A private celebration of life will be held in Anchorage, Alaska.
