What's happened since?:

After our snarky comments about leaving behind the cold and snowy Alaska and Montana winter weather by moving to warm southern Arizona, we got snow on February 22, 2019 (our first Winter in Arizona). Karma's a bitch ...

2023 Update: still in Arizona but decided it was time for a little personal remodeling with aftermarket parts. Had a triple bypass in January along with 2 heart valve replacements and a couple of procedures to remedy long-standing Afib. While they were in the neighborhood, the docs inserted a pacemaker. Then, in July, had a total knee replacement. That was my 11th major surgery since I turned 70, including 2 spinal fusions. I have so much titanium in my body, I rattle when I walk. Doing great though and pretty much fully recovered from everything and have no limitations to deal with. P.S.: it still snows on us every February. Who knew ....

I was in Lake Havasu during that storm. Paula and I, along with my cousin and his wife drove from Havasu to Flagstaff where there was 30+ inches of snow at the airport, down to Sedona where there was 24 inches of snow and on to Prescott where we own a home and they had 20 inches of snow. What a mess.
