At UCU, I will serving at both the Law and Business Schools, where I will apply my 40-year career in energy and resources to help refine UCU’s teaching of resource development and environmental law, developing and teaching from case studies that will examine contemporary development issues in a rigorous and holistic way to prepare UCU graduates for leadership roles in the global economy. My wife Catherine will write grant proposals and provide administrative support for UCU's John Sentamu Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, which was established to increase the number of students studying disciplines in human rights, and in humanitarian law. We expect to serve at UCU for from 3 to 5 years.

Alyeska Story:

Took the baton in Valdez from one of the best (Rex Brown), and served under two of the best - Dan Hisey and Rod Hanson, and alongside Rob Shoaf - another of the best. Prior to working at Alyeska, I had worked for ARCO Marine, and had participated on the Prince William Sound Risk Assessment Study . At Alyeska, my principal duties involved representation of the company and its Valdez operations before the Joint Pipeline Office and the PWS Regional Citizens' Advisory Council.
