In 1988, Rich and I first crossed paths as employees at the Fairbanks North Star Borough in the Environment Department, with him working in the IM (vehicle emissions) group at the bus barn on Peger Rd (where HCC had its offices for many years) and me in air quality and waste. Years later our professional paths crossed yet again at Alyeska. He's one of those folks who you knew was highly competent and respected even though he didn't toot his own horn. His understated presence felt big as a lead for the Rotating Equipment Shop. He was always willing to answer questions and be of service any time I needed to reach out to him. So sorry to hear of your loss, Rich.
