Joseph A. Cody

Joseph A Cody
                 - January 23, 2025

We regret to inform you of the passing of Alyeska employee Joseph A. Cody on January 23, 2025. Joseph joined Alyeska on April 12, 2004, as an IT Associate with the Building Foundations of Excellence Program. His work on strategic initiatives supported Alyeska’s ability to leverage systems and technology. His role as Enterprise Architect Manager was a perfect fit for his skill in bridging the gap between the business of TAPS and IT infrastructure.

Joseph shared often with his wife, Kenya, how much he enjoyed and appreciated his co-workers, and being part of all the innovative work on TAPS.

While information on services is not available at this time, cards for Kenya can be dropped off with any Alyeska HR Generalist.

Joseph always came to every meeting and every challenge with an engaging, energetic and positive attitute.

He struggled for a long time with his health situation, but always met you either on-line or in-person with his big smile and big laugh.

Joseph contributed to and lead many IT improvement projects and contributed much to Alyeska's success.

My sincere condolences to his wife Kenya. Joseph was a good man and he will be missed my many at Alyeska!

Well said Mel.  Joseph always rose above life's challenges, treated everyday as a gift and always had a smile on his face.  I so enjoyed working with him and relied on his ability to cut through the chaos to discover the actual problem as viewed from mulitple presepctives. Prayers to his family.

I totally agree with everything you said Mel and Rita. Joseph had the beautiful ability to bring everyone needed together to get things done, and he was my go to whenever I needed help with anything IT related. I knew could I always depend on him to either get IT things done or know who could get it done. I have missed seeing his face and hearing his great laugh these last 5 years. He was a great friend and co-worker and will be missed by many people.

Well said Mel, Rita and Brenda !  Joseph was a good man and will be missed by many.  I was Joseph's first team lead at Alyeska, he joined Alyeska just as we were preparing project close out documentation for the 2004 Desktop Refresh Project.  We had deployed all the new computers and software apps and demobed the majority of project resources.  Erv Barnes assigned Joseph to help with all the project close out activities, this being my first big project I'd underestimated the close out work required and very much appreciated Joseph's help,  "Can Do" attitude, attention to detail and the positive attitude he brought to work every day.  Over the next 9 years I very much appreciated working with Joseph on the IT team until I retired in 2013.  I will always remember Joseph fondly...
